Black Crab (2022) Survival Lesson
Survival Lesson: Fire can save your life, but it can also take it away.
If you get too cold, you die. It's as simple as that. But the smell and smoke of fire can travel a long distance and reveal your position.
Synopsis: A group of soldiers skate across a frozen sea behind enemy lines carrying a weapon that can end the war.
Rating: 6/10. This rating is a difficult one. Parts of the movie, and especially the first half were very good, but it fell apart a bit towards the end, and there are also major and significant plot holes.
It's worth a watch just for the atmosphere, cinematography, and locations. they are phenomenal. The acting is very good. Costumes, equipment and detailing are also excellent.
I've seen many reviews complaining that the movie left out too much context. I actually love that about this movie. You learn everything you need to know in the first couple of minutes without any lengthy narration or flashbacks: the main character has has her child kidnapped, they are in the middle of a war, she is now a soldier. Maybe it's just me, but I get tired of the endless exposition so many movies seem to have.
