Dust Up (2012) Survival Lesson
Survival Lesson: Always be aware of your surroundings. For example, when your opponent is standing on a weak floor board and you can kick his feet out from under him and have him fall through the floor.
Synopsis: New mom and her drug-addicted husband find unexpected help from the one-eyed plumber and his Native American garbed sidekick in their fight against a megalomaniac meth-cooker trying to collect on the husband's debt.
Rating: 8/10 (with a caution). This movie is in the grindhouse style, so that should give you an idea of what to expect. The actors do a great job of portraying outlandish and unique characters, the action is well-paced, and it is full of good gore and one-liners. I personally really liked the saturated filmography and thought it was well-suited for the great scenery, but it won't appeal to everyone.
I rated this with a caution because the portrayal of Native Americans doesn't really work anymore in today's climate (nor should it). I suspect that the actual intent was essentially satire commenting on the way white people portray Native Americans, but it is still problematic and something to consider.
